Hatha Yoga in Portugal

Hatha Flow, Yoga for Surfers! and Restorative Yoga with Alex Meade

Looking for yoga on the beautiful coast of Portugal? Wonderful. You’re in the right place!

Join Alex for an energising Hatha Flow class. A guided meditation, chakra focused flow with assisted shavasana.

Classes are currently taking place at Sense of Ofir! A luxury hotel in the holiday destination of Ofir, only 40 minutes from Porto.

Surrounded by water, Sense of Ofir is know to have one of the best Kitesurfing spots in Europe. With different spots for surfing, wingfoil, SUP etc all in walking distance to the house. Most days, we teach Hatha Flow at 11:45am to help stretch out the body and clear the mind of clutter before jumping into the water.

We have a special class for Surfers and Kitesurfers, every Saturday at 18:00. A mindful practice to stretch out the specific muscles that can get a bit overworked with surfing and kitesurfing. Don’t be fooled though, these classes will also build strength in your core and limbs! Helping to improve your performance on the water!

Yoga allows you to find an inner peace that is not ruffled and riled by the endless stresses and struggles of life.

I’ve been practicing yoga in various forms on a weekly basis for 8 years.
I’ve met and been taught by a good few teachers.

Alex is one of the most enthusiastic, caring and knowledgeable of all.
If you want good teaching with passion and knowledge  Alex is a great person to lead your practice.

I really enjoy Alex’s classes. They are a great balance of the serious technical stuff and the more light hearted get you through moments.

She is a caring teacher with great compassion, who knows instinctively when there is more in your practice and to push and when you need to show yourself some kindness because you are having a tough day on the mat.
